ECE students of TUC have been awarded Mitacs research funding (employment at ÉTS Montréal)

The Laboratory of Electrical Machines of the Technical University of Crete would like to announce exciting news for 4 of its members.  

Specifically, 3 final-year students (Spyridon Pantzekos-Papageorgopoulos, Maria Razou and Ioannis Sinanis) that are currently working on their Diploma Thesis and one Ph.D student (Nikolaos Gkiolekas) have been selected to participate in the research project entitled: "Cost-Oriented Design and Optimization of Synchronous Electric Motors", which will be realized in the École de technologie supérieure - ÉTS Montréal, Quebec, Canada and is financially supported by Mitacs. Associate Professor Dr. Qingsong Wang will be the main supervisor of the research project, and Professor Dr. Konstantinos Gyftakis will act as the external co-supervisor.  

The research program will provide a full stipend of the 3 final-year students for 5 months and the Ph.D student for 4 months and it will be completed in 2026.
