The EMLab Team is responsible for the reliable condition monitoring and fault detection of the permanent magnet generator and the magnetic gearbox of the Power Take-Off System. We aim to detect static, dynamic and mixed eccentricity, demagnetization and stator inter-turn faults. Moreover, our goal is to develop a diagnostic methodology that will reliably identify different faulty conditions with similar harmonic patterns, thus facilitating the maintenance and service decision making.
The project is co-funded by the EU Horizon and the UKRI. Its duration is 2024-2028.
